Jet Engine
A jet engine is a type of reaction engine that discharges a fast-moving jet of fluid to generate thrust in accordance with Newton's third law of motion. Jet engines are used in aircraft propulsion systems and are the primary power source for modern commercial airliners. They work by taking in air, compressing it, mixing it with fuel, and igniting the mixture to create a high-velocity exhaust stream. The force of the exhaust stream propels the aircraft forward. Jet engines are classified into two main types: turbojet engines and turbofan engines. Turbojet engines are used in military aircraft and high-speed business jets, while turbofan engines are used in commercial airliners. Jet engines have revolutionized air travel and have made it possible to travel long distances in a short amount of time.
