
Force
In space and astronautical engineering, force is a physical quantity that describes the interaction between two objects. It is a vector quantity, meaning it has both magnitude and direction. Forces can be classified into four fundamental types: gravitational, electromagnetic, strong nuclear, and weak nuclear. In space, gravitational force is the most dominant force that affects the motion of objects. It is responsible for keeping planets in orbit around the sun and for the formation of galaxies. Electromagnetic force is also important in space engineering, as it is used for communication and navigation. Strong and weak nuclear forces are not as relevant in space engineering as they are in nuclear physics. Engineers use force analysis to design spacecraft and rockets, as well as to predict their behavior in different environments.
