Falcon 9
Falcon 9 is a two-stage rocket designed and manufactured by SpaceX for the reliable and safe transport of satellites and the Dragon spacecraft into orbit. The rocket uses a mixture of liquid oxygen and rocket-grade kerosene as propellants and is equipped with nine Merlin engines in its first stage and one Merlin engine in its second stage. Falcon 9 is capable of carrying payloads of up to 22,800 kilograms to low Earth orbit and up to 8,300 kilograms to geostationary transfer orbit. The rocket is also designed to be reusable, with the first stage capable of landing back on Earth after launch for refurbishment and reuse in future missions.
