Asteroid Belt

The Asteroid Belt is a region of the solar system located between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, where the majority of the asteroids in our solar system are found. These asteroids are remnants from the early formation of the solar system and are believed to be the building blocks of the terrestrial planets. The Asteroid Belt is also home to dwarf planets such as Ceres, which is the largest object in the Asteroid Belt. The study of the Asteroid Belt is important for understanding the formation and evolution of our solar system, as well as for identifying potential hazards to spacecraft and Earth from asteroid impacts.
