Solar System
The Solar System is the gravitationally bound system of the Sun and the objects that orbit it, either directly or indirectly. It consists of the Sun, eight planets, dwarf planets, moons, asteroids, comets, and other celestial bodies. The eight planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The Solar System formed 4.6 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of a giant interstellar molecular cloud. The study of the Solar System involves understanding the formation and evolution of the Sun and its planets, as well as the exploration of the various celestial bodies within it.
