Asteroid

An asteroid is a small rocky object that orbits the Sun. Most asteroids are found in the asteroid belt, a region between Mars and Jupiter. They are also found in other parts of the solar system, including near-Earth space. Asteroids are remnants from the early solar system, and studying them can provide insight into the formation and evolution of the planets. Some asteroids have impacted Earth in the past, and there is a risk of future impacts. Asteroid exploration and mining are also areas of interest in space and astronautical engineering.
