Supersonic Engines
Supersonic engines are propulsion systems that are capable of producing thrust to propel an aircraft or spacecraft at supersonic speeds, which is faster than the speed of sound. These engines use advanced technologies such as afterburners, scramjets, and ramjets to achieve supersonic speeds. Afterburners are used in turbojet and turbofan engines to increase thrust by injecting fuel into the exhaust stream and igniting it. Scramjets and ramjets are air-breathing engines that use the forward motion of the vehicle to compress incoming air and mix it with fuel to produce thrust. Supersonic engines are critical for high-speed flight and are used in military aircraft, missiles, and spacecraft.
