Local Wind
In space and astronautical engineering, local wind refers to the wind that is generated due to the differences in temperature and pressure between two adjacent areas. These winds are usually limited to a small area and are influenced by local topography, vegetation, and water bodies. Local winds can have a significant impact on the design and operation of spacecraft and launch vehicles, as they can cause turbulence and affect the trajectory of the vehicle. Examples of local winds include sea breezes, land breezes, mountain and valley breezes, and katabatic winds.
