Electron Beam

An electron beam is a stream of high-energy electrons that are emitted from the electron gun of a spacecraft or a satellite. The electron beam is used for a variety of purposes such as propulsion, communication, and scientific experiments. In propulsion, the electron beam is used to generate thrust by ionizing a propellant and accelerating the resulting ions using an electric field. In communication, the electron beam is used to generate a high-frequency electromagnetic wave that can be modulated with information and transmitted to Earth. In scientific experiments, the electron beam is used to study the properties of materials and the behavior of particles in space. The electron beam can also be used to generate X-rays and other forms of radiation for medical and industrial applications.
