Zinc-air Batteries

Zinc-air batteries are electrochemical energy storage devices that use zinc as an anode, oxygen from the air as a cathode, and an alkaline electrolyte. The battery generates electrical energy through the oxidation of zinc and reduction of oxygen. Zinc-air batteries have a high energy density, low cost, and are environmentally friendly. They are commonly used in hearing aids, remote sensors, and other small electronic devices. However, their use in larger applications is limited due to challenges in recharging and maintaining the stability of the electrolyte.
