Triangulation

Triangulation is a method used in space and astronautical engineering to determine the position of a spacecraft or satellite by measuring angles between it and two or more reference points. This technique is commonly used in satellite navigation systems, such as GPS, to determine the location of a receiver on Earth. Triangulation can also be used to map the surface of planets and moons by measuring the angles between a spacecraft and multiple points on the surface. In addition, triangulation is used in optical and radio telescopes to precisely locate the position of celestial objects.
