TIROS

TIROS (Television Infrared Observation Satellite) was the first series of weather satellites launched by NASA in the late 1950s. These satellites were designed to observe and photograph the Earth's weather patterns, cloud cover, and atmospheric conditions from space. The data collected by TIROS satellites helped meteorologists to improve weather forecasting and to better understand the Earth's climate.
