Thermal Power Plants

Thermal power plants are facilities that generate electricity by converting heat energy into electrical energy. In these plants, fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas are burned to produce steam, which drives a turbine that generates electricity. The steam is produced by heating water in a boiler using the heat generated by the combustion of the fossil fuels. The efficiency of thermal power plants can be improved by using advanced technologies such as supercritical and ultra-supercritical boilers, which operate at higher temperatures and pressures, and by using combined cycle power plants that use both gas and steam turbines to generate electricity.
