Sun Synchronous

Sun synchronous is a type of orbit around a planet where the spacecraft passes over any given point of the planet's surface at the same local solar time. This means that the spacecraft will always be in the same position relative to the sun during each orbit. To achieve a sun synchronous orbit, the spacecraft must be launched at a specific inclination and altitude. This type of orbit is commonly used for Earth observation satellites, as it allows for consistent lighting conditions for imaging and data collection.
