Diodes

Diodes are electronic components that allow current to flow in only one direction. In space and astronautical engineering, diodes are used in various applications such as power conversion, signal processing, and radiation detection. Diodes are particularly useful in space applications due to their ability to withstand harsh environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures, radiation, and vacuum. They are also used in solar panels to prevent reverse current flow and in communication systems to convert analog signals to digital signals. Diodes come in various types such as p-n junction diodes, Schottky diodes, and Zener diodes, each with their own unique characteristics and applications.
