Structural Design

Structural design is the process of designing the physical support and load-bearing elements of a spacecraft or space vehicle. This includes the design of the framework, walls, floors, and other structural components that must withstand the forces and stresses of launch, spaceflight, and re-entry. Structural design also involves the selection of materials and the determination of the optimal shape and size of each component to ensure maximum strength and durability while minimizing weight. The goal of structural design is to create a safe and reliable spacecraft that can withstand the extreme conditions of space and return to Earth intact.
