Signal Conditioning Circuits

Signal conditioning circuits are electronic circuits that modify the signal from a sensor or transducer to make it suitable for processing by data acquisition systems or other electronic instrumentation. The signal conditioning circuit may amplify, filter, convert, or isolate the signal to remove noise, improve accuracy, or match the signal to the input range of the data acquisition system. Signal conditioning circuits are commonly used in space and astronautical engineering applications to convert signals from sensors measuring physical parameters such as temperature, pressure, or acceleration into a form that can be transmitted to a spacecraft or ground station for analysis.
