Plasma Propulsion Systems

Plasma Propulsion Systems are a type of spacecraft propulsion that uses plasma as a propellant. Plasma is a highly ionized gas that can be accelerated to high velocities using electric and magnetic fields. Plasma propulsion systems are more efficient than traditional chemical rockets because they can achieve higher exhaust velocities, which means they can achieve higher speeds with less propellant. There are several types of plasma propulsion systems, including Hall thrusters, magnetoplasmadynamic thrusters, and pulsed plasma thrusters. These systems are being developed for use in a variety of space missions, including deep space exploration, satellite station-keeping, and interplanetary travel.
