Oceanographic Data

Oceanographic data refers to any information collected about the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the ocean. This can include measurements of temperature, salinity, currents, waves, tides, dissolved oxygen, nutrients, and the distribution and abundance of marine organisms. Oceanographic data is collected using a variety of instruments and platforms, including ships, buoys, satellites, and autonomous underwater vehicles. The collection and analysis of oceanographic data is important for understanding the complex interactions between the ocean, atmosphere, and land, and for predicting and mitigating the impacts of natural disasters, climate change, and human activities on marine ecosystems and coastal communities.
