Nanofabrication

Nanofabrication is the process of creating structures and devices with dimensions in the nanometer scale. In space and astronautical engineering, nanofabrication is used to create nanosatellites, nanorobots, and other nanoscale devices that can be used for space exploration and research. Nanofabrication techniques include top-down approaches such as electron beam lithography and bottom-up approaches such as self-assembly and molecular beam epitaxy. These techniques allow for the precise control of the size, shape, and composition of nanoscale structures, which is essential for creating functional devices. Nanofabrication has the potential to revolutionize space exploration by enabling the development of lightweight, high-performance nanoscale devices that can operate in harsh space environments.
