Analog Simulations
Analog simulations refer to the use of physical models and systems to replicate the behavior of space systems and environments. This involves the creation of scaled-down versions of spacecraft, satellites, and other space systems, as well as the use of physical models to simulate the effects of space environments such as radiation, microgravity, and extreme temperatures. Analog simulations are used to test and validate space systems and technologies, as well as to train astronauts and mission personnel for space missions. They are particularly useful for testing systems and technologies in conditions that cannot be easily replicated on Earth, such as the vacuum of space or the harsh radiation environment of the Van Allen belts.
