Milky Way
Milky Way is a barred spiral galaxy that contains our Solar System. It is estimated to be about 13.6 billion years old and has a diameter of about 100,000 light-years. The Milky Way consists of a central bar-shaped region surrounded by four major spiral arms and several smaller arms. It is also home to a supermassive black hole at its center, which has a mass of about 4 million times that of the Sun. The Milky Way is also surrounded by a halo of dark matter, which is thought to make up about 90% of its mass.
