Launch System

A launch system is a set of components and procedures used to put a spacecraft into orbit or on a trajectory towards another celestial body. It includes the launch vehicle, which is the rocket that provides the thrust to lift the spacecraft off the ground and into space, as well as the launch pad, which is the platform from which the rocket is launched. The launch system also includes the ground support equipment, which is used to prepare the spacecraft and launch vehicle for launch, and the mission control center, which monitors the launch and controls the spacecraft during its ascent. The design of a launch system is critical to the success of a space mission, as it must be able to deliver the spacecraft to its intended destination with the required velocity and trajectory while ensuring the safety of the crew and payload.
