ICBM
ICBM stands for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. It is a missile that is capable of traveling long distances, typically thousands of kilometers, and is designed to deliver a nuclear warhead. ICBMs are launched from a stationary silo, mobile launcher, or submarine, and follow a ballistic trajectory that takes them into space before re-entering the Earth's atmosphere and striking their target. They are a key component of a country's nuclear arsenal and are considered a strategic weapon. The development and deployment of ICBMs has been a major focus of space and astronautical engineering since the Cold War era.
