Hypoxia

Hypoxia is a condition in which the body or a part of the body is deprived of adequate oxygen supply. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, hypoxia can occur due to the low atmospheric pressure and lack of oxygen in space. Astronauts are at risk of developing hypoxia during spacewalks or when the cabin pressure drops. Symptoms of hypoxia include shortness of breath, confusion, headache, and loss of consciousness. To prevent hypoxia, spacecraft are equipped with oxygen supply systems and pressure control systems to maintain a safe and habitable environment for the crew. Astronauts are also trained to recognize the symptoms of hypoxia and to take appropriate measures to prevent it.
