HVAC Systems

HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Systems are a crucial component of spacecraft design, responsible for maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for astronauts during their mission. The system regulates temperature, humidity, and air quality, and is designed to operate in the harsh conditions of space. The heating system uses electric heaters or heat exchangers to warm the cabin, while the cooling system uses radiators or heat exchangers to dissipate heat generated by equipment and the crew. The ventilation system circulates air throughout the spacecraft, removing carbon dioxide and other contaminants and replenishing oxygen. The system also includes filters to remove dust and other particles from the air. The HVAC system is designed to be reliable and energy-efficient, with redundant components to ensure continued operation in case of failure.
