Gas Giant
A gas giant is a large planet composed mostly of gases, such as hydrogen and helium, with a relatively small rocky core. Gas giants are also known as Jovian planets, after Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system. They are typically much larger than terrestrial planets and have thick atmospheres with many layers of clouds. Gas giants have strong magnetic fields and numerous moons, and some have ring systems. The four gas giants in our solar system are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
