Flight Directors

Flight Directors are the leaders of Mission Control Center (MCC) who manage and oversee human spaceflight missions. They are responsible for making real-time decisions during the mission, ensuring the safety of the crew, and achieving mission objectives. Flight Directors work closely with the flight control team, spacecraft crew, and other support personnel to monitor the spacecraft's systems, track its position and trajectory, and troubleshoot any issues that arise. They also develop and implement mission plans, procedures, and timelines, and communicate with the crew and other stakeholders. Flight Directors must have extensive knowledge of spacecraft systems, flight dynamics, and mission operations, as well as excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
