Electromagnets

Electromagnets are a type of magnet in which the magnetic field is produced by an electric current. They are used extensively in space and astronautical engineering for a variety of applications, including controlling the motion of spacecraft, generating power, and manipulating materials. Electromagnets are particularly useful in space because they can be turned on and off as needed, allowing for precise control over their effects. They are also highly efficient, as they only produce a magnetic field when current is flowing through them. Electromagnets are used in a variety of space applications, including magnetic levitation systems, ion thrusters, and magnetic field generators for spacecraft shielding.
