Electromagnetic Induction


Electromagnetic induction is the process of generating an electromotive force (emf) by varying the magnetic field around a conductor. This phenomenon is based on Faraday's law of induction, which states that a changing magnetic field induces an emf in a conductor. In space and astronautical engineering, electromagnetic induction is used in various applications such as power generation, communication systems, and propulsion. For example, spacecraft can use electromagnetic induction to generate power by converting the kinetic energy of the spacecraft into electrical energy using a magnet and a coil. Electromagnetic induction is also used in communication systems to transmit and receive signals. In propulsion, electromagnetic induction can be used to accelerate plasma and create thrust.
