Electric Fields

Electric fields are a fundamental concept in space and astronautical engineering that describe the force exerted on a charged particle in the presence of other charged particles. In space, electric fields can be generated by the interaction of charged particles with magnetic fields, or by the presence of charged surfaces on spacecraft or other objects. Electric fields are important in the design and operation of spacecraft, as they can affect the behavior of charged particles in the space environment, and can also be used to control the motion of spacecraft. Electric fields are also important in the study of space plasmas, as they can be used to measure the properties of the plasma and to study the interactions between charged particles.
