Communication Satellites

Communication satellites are artificial satellites that relay and amplify radio telecommunications signals via a transponder, from one or more points on Earth to another. They are used for various purposes such as television broadcasting, internet, telephone, and military applications. Communication satellites are placed in geostationary orbit, which means they orbit the Earth at the same rate as the Earth rotates, allowing them to remain in a fixed position relative to the surface of the Earth. They are powered by solar panels and have a lifespan of around 15 years. Communication satellites are an essential part of modern communication infrastructure, providing global coverage and enabling long-distance communication.
