V2 Rockets
V2 rockets were ballistic missiles developed by Nazi Germany during World War II. They were the first long-range missiles to be used in warfare and were primarily used to attack Allied cities in Europe. The V2 rockets were powered by liquid oxygen and alcohol, and were capable of reaching a maximum altitude of 206 kilometers and a maximum range of 320 kilometers. The V2 rockets were also the first man-made objects to reach space. Although the V2 rockets were not particularly accurate, they were a significant technological achievement and paved the way for the development of modern rocketry.
