SPOT
SPOT (Satellite Pour l'Observation de la Terre) is a constellation of high-resolution, optical imaging Earth observation satellites operated by Airbus Defence and Space. The SPOT satellites are designed to provide imagery with a resolution ranging from 1.5 to 10 meters, depending on the satellite and the mode of operation. The satellites are placed in a sun-synchronous orbit, which allows them to image the same area at the same time of day, providing consistent lighting conditions for comparison over time. The SPOT constellation has been used for a variety of applications, including mapping, land-use planning, environmental monitoring, and disaster response.
