Spacesuit

A spacesuit is a garment designed to protect an astronaut from the harsh environment of space. It provides a pressurized atmosphere, thermal regulation, and protection from radiation and micrometeoroids. Spacesuits are typically made up of several layers, including an inner layer for comfort, a pressure bladder to maintain the suit's shape, and an outer layer for protection. The outer layer is made of materials such as Kevlar or Nomex, which are resistant to abrasion and puncture. Spacesuits also have a helmet with a visor to protect the astronaut's head and face from the sun's rays and other hazards. The suit is connected to the spacecraft by an umbilical cord, which provides oxygen, power, and communication. Spacesuits are essential for spacewalks and other activities outside of the spacecraft.
