Satellite Constellation

A satellite constellation is a group of artificial satellites working together to achieve a common goal. These satellites are placed in a specific pattern and orbit around the Earth, providing global coverage for various applications such as communication, navigation, remote sensing, and scientific research. The satellites in a constellation are designed to work together, providing redundancy and ensuring continuous coverage. They communicate with each other and with ground stations to exchange data and coordinate their activities. Satellite constellations can be either low Earth orbit (LEO) or geostationary orbit (GEO), depending on the application and the required coverage. LEO constellations are used for applications that require high data rates and low latency, such as internet connectivity and Earth observation, while GEO constellations are used for applications that require continuous coverage over a specific area, such as broadcasting and navigation.
