Rigid Body Dynamics

Rigid Body Dynamics is a branch of mechanics that studies the motion of rigid bodies, which are objects with a fixed shape and size that do not deform under external forces. In space and astronautical engineering, rigid body dynamics is used to model the motion of spacecraft, satellites, and other objects in space. This includes the study of the forces and torques acting on a spacecraft, as well as the resulting motion and orientation of the spacecraft. Rigid body dynamics is also used to design and control spacecraft attitude and orbit, as well as to predict and prevent collisions with other objects in space.
