Radar Return


Radar return is the signal that is received by a radar system after it transmits a radio frequency pulse towards a target. The radar return contains information about the target's range, velocity, and direction. The strength of the radar return depends on the size, shape, and material of the target. In space and astronautical engineering, radar return is used for various applications such as tracking space debris, monitoring the movement of spacecraft, and detecting and characterizing asteroids and other celestial bodies. Radar return is also used for remote sensing applications such as measuring the height of ocean waves and the thickness of ice sheets. The accuracy and resolution of radar return can be improved by using advanced signal processing techniques and by using multiple radar systems in a network.
