Power Tower
Power Tower is a type of space structure that consists of a tall tower-like structure with solar panels or mirrors on top that collect and convert solar energy into electricity. The tower is surrounded by a field of sun-tracking mirrors, called heliostats, which reflect sunlight onto the top of the tower. The concentrated sunlight heats a fluid, such as water or molten salt, which then produces steam to drive a turbine and generate electricity. Power Towers are a promising technology for large-scale solar power generation, as they can achieve higher temperatures and efficiencies than other solar technologies, and can store thermal energy for use when the sun is not shining.
