Power Supply System
Power Supply System refers to the set of components and subsystems that generate, store, distribute, and regulate electrical power in a spacecraft. The power supply system is responsible for providing electrical power to all the spacecraft subsystems, including communication, propulsion, scientific instruments, and life support systems. The power supply system can be classified into two types: primary power supply and secondary power supply. The primary power supply generates power from sources such as solar panels, nuclear reactors, or fuel cells. The secondary power supply stores and distributes power generated by the primary power supply. The power supply system also includes power conditioning units, which regulate the voltage and current of the electrical power to meet the requirements of different subsystems. The power supply system is critical for the success of a spacecraft mission, and its design must consider factors such as power consumption, efficiency, reliability, and redundancy.
