Power Management Systems

Power Management Systems (PMS) are the set of hardware and software components that manage the generation, distribution, and consumption of electrical power in spacecraft. PMS includes power generation systems such as solar arrays, fuel cells, and batteries, as well as power distribution systems that regulate the voltage and current levels of the electrical power. PMS also includes power consumption systems such as heaters, thrusters, and scientific instruments. The main goal of PMS is to ensure that the spacecraft has a reliable and efficient power supply throughout its mission, while also managing power usage to extend the spacecraft's operational lifetime.
