Multistage Rocket
A multistage rocket is a launch vehicle that uses two or more rocket stages, each of which contains its own engines and propellant. The first stage provides the initial thrust to lift the rocket off the launch pad and propel it to a certain altitude and speed. Once the first stage has burned all of its fuel, it separates from the rest of the rocket and falls back to Earth. The second stage then ignites its engines and continues the ascent, carrying the payload to a higher altitude and velocity. This process can be repeated with additional stages until the desired altitude and speed are achieved. Multistage rockets are commonly used for space launches because they allow for greater efficiency and payload capacity than single-stage rockets.
