Logic Gates
In space and astronautical engineering, logic gates are electronic circuits that perform a logical operation on one or more binary inputs to produce a single binary output. These gates are used extensively in digital electronics and computer engineering to perform Boolean algebraic operations. The most common types of logic gates are AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, and XOR gates. In space applications, logic gates are used in spacecraft control systems, communication systems, and navigation systems. They are also used in the design of microprocessors and other digital circuits that are used in space missions. The reliability and performance of logic gates are critical in space applications, where radiation and extreme temperatures can affect their operation. Therefore, radiation-hardened and temperature-resistant logic gates are used in space applications.
