Laser Propulsion
Laser propulsion is a form of spacecraft propulsion that uses laser beams to propel a vehicle forward. The basic principle of laser propulsion is to use the energy from a laser beam to heat a propellant, such as hydrogen, to extremely high temperatures, causing it to expand rapidly and create thrust. This method of propulsion has the potential to achieve very high speeds, as the energy from the laser beam can be focused to a very small point, creating a high level of thrust. Laser propulsion is still in the experimental stage, but has shown promise as a potential method for interstellar travel.
