Laser Communication
Laser communication is a method of transmitting information from one point to another by using laser beams. It is a form of optical communication that uses lasers to transmit data through the atmosphere or space. Laser communication systems are used in space missions to transmit large amounts of data from spacecraft to Earth, and between spacecraft. The advantages of laser communication over traditional radio communication include higher data rates, greater bandwidth, and lower power consumption. However, laser communication is more sensitive to atmospheric conditions and requires a clear line of sight between the transmitter and receiver. Laser communication systems use modulated laser beams to transmit information, and the receiver uses a photodetector to convert the light signal back into an electrical signal.
