
Hypothesis Testing
Hypothesis testing is a statistical method used to determine whether a hypothesis about a population parameter is supported by the sample data. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, hypothesis testing can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of a new technology or design by comparing it to an existing one. For example, a hypothesis test could be used to determine whether a new rocket engine design is more efficient than an older design.
