Gravitational Acceleration

Gravitational acceleration is the acceleration experienced by an object in the gravitational field of another object. In space and astronautical engineering, gravitational acceleration is a critical factor in determining the trajectory of spacecraft and satellites. The gravitational acceleration of an object depends on the mass and distance of the object it is attracted to. In space, gravitational acceleration is used to keep satellites in orbit around the Earth and other celestial bodies. It is also used to slingshot spacecraft around planets to increase their speed and change their trajectory. Accurate measurement and prediction of gravitational acceleration is essential for successful space missions.
