Flight Dynamics
Flight Dynamics is the study of the behavior of an aerospace vehicle in flight. It involves the analysis of the motion of the vehicle through the air and the forces and moments that act on it. The study of flight dynamics includes the analysis of stability and control, aerodynamics, propulsion, and structures. Stability and control are concerned with the ability of the vehicle to maintain a stable flight path and to respond to pilot inputs. Aerodynamics deals with the study of the forces and moments that act on the vehicle due to the flow of air around it. Propulsion is concerned with the study of the engines and their performance. Structures deal with the design and analysis of the vehicle's physical components and their ability to withstand the forces and loads experienced during flight.
