Flat Panel Displays


Flat Panel Displays (FPDs) are electronic viewing technologies that are used to display digital images, videos, and other multimedia content. They are thin, lightweight, and consume less power than traditional cathode ray tube (CRT) displays. FPDs are commonly used in space and astronautical engineering applications due to their compact size, low power consumption, and high resolution. They are used in spacecraft control panels, navigation systems, and scientific instruments. FPDs are also used in space suits and helmets to provide astronauts with vital information and to display video feeds from external cameras. FPDs are available in various types such as Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs), Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs), and Plasma Displays. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages, and the choice of FPD depends on the specific application requirements.
