Earth Observing System (EOS)
Earth Observing System (EOS) is a program of NASA for long-term global observations of the land surface, biosphere, atmosphere, and oceans of the Earth. The program is designed to study the Earth as a system and to improve our understanding of the Earth's response to natural and human-induced changes. EOS consists of a series of satellites, instruments, and ground-based systems that work together to provide a comprehensive view of the Earth's environment. The data collected by EOS is used for a wide range of applications, including climate research, natural resource management, and disaster response.
